How IT WOrksThis is ideal for those of us who have an exercise routine in place, or just want to work on their nutrition. The foundation of lifestyle coaching is creating habits to improve your nutrition. From there, we also introduce habits to improve your sleep and decrease your stress.
Let's say you exercise 4-6 hours a week, there is another 160+ hours in that week, it is what we do in that time that determines our trajectory towards our goals. Whether you're looking to gain muscle or lose fat, nutrition is a huge factor. My nutrition coaching my work alongside your already in place exercise program, or it can be used as a significant stand alone program. As a Precision Nutrition certified Coach, and 5 years of nutrition coaching experience, I know exactly how to get people the results they desire. It is all about creating habits that create positive effects on your life. We do this together by finding out what works for you and implementing small changes to help you keep sustained results. You begin this program by filling out the questionnaire and reviewing the welcome pack, that will be sent to you by email. After that, we will decide the correct steps forward for you and your lifestyle, we introduce small sustainable changes that can be introduced with ease and be maintained with some focused effort. Together we will ensure you’re staying accountable to your health and these habits that we have outlined for you. When it comes to sleep and stress management, there are lots of things we can do as well. The reason as to why I focus so much on quality of sleep, and level of stress, is that both of those factors play an effect on your results. If you are not sleeping, you are not losing fat, or building muscle the way you could be. Same thing as if you have too much stress. Just like with nutrition, we create habits that can be implemented instantly to improve your quality of sleep, to help you feel rested, to help you lose fat, to help you to build muscle. On top of that, we do things to reduce stress in order to reduce cortisol levels in the blood. The reason we don’t want cortisol kicking around is because it breaks down muscle tissue and does not allow for fat breakdown, or muscle development. There is far more detail I can add to this, but that is the basic of it. I strongly believe every coach and personal trainer, needs to understand the body as a whole and how it can be function as a system, not as just a machine that exercises. I will check in with you twice a week to make sure everything we are doing is going exactly the way we want it to. This is also your opportunity to reach out and have questions regarding your health, if I don’t know the answer, I might know someone who does, but I also always know when to outsource something. What is lifestyle coaching?
With lifestyle coaching, we are trying to develop habits in your life to allow you to perform at your best, will enable you to reduce the chance of illness and chronic disease. We do this by learning techniques to regulate stress, improve sleep, and develop quality nutrition habits. Our goal is to keep people performing at a high level in life and stay out of the Doctors office.

How is that different than nutrition coaching?
Nutrition coaching gives a great backbone for discussing healthy habits and creating change in one aspect of life. We want to create an integrated approach to lifestyle coaching, by reducing stress and improving health. These adaptations happen while working with a coach, you can trust. How much is it? Lifestyle Coaching is $90 per month.

What are the two weekly check-ins?
In these two check-ins, you will start forming your habits with your coach, and we like to use nutrition software called MyFitnessPal, this gives the coach an in-depth look at your nutrition intake. We also discuss sleep and how to improve it, sometimes its simple tweaks, like turning your TV off in bed that can make a huge difference. As well as what is stressing you out, sometimes having someone not directly in your life to listen to you and talk you through some issues is an of enormous benefit.

Do you think I can lose "x" weight in "y" time?
It depends on who you are, where you're at, and your adherence to the program. Honestly, dieting for longer than three months is dangerous. I care about your health and happiness, not a short term goal six weeks away. I want you walking around feeling like a rock star for your life, not walking around at 6% body fat for 6 hours feeling like you're going to pass out. I've dieted, I did it too aggressively, and my body stopped functioning. I'm sure you've heard it before, maybe experienced it your self, you lose too much weight and then within a couple of months, put it all back on. That's not what this program is, this program is about being better for the next 20 years, not 20 weeks. However, dieting can be done correctly, and I'm also happy to help people do that.

How long should I be doing this program?
Maybe it's a lousy business strategy on my part, but I don't want you to stay on this program for life. Please learn your self, learn what it takes for you to be happy and healthy, and then go live your life. For that reason is why you'll never see before and after photos from me, there is no after, there is no end to health and happiness once we decide you're done with the coaching.
